New reward tiers announced!
over 6 years ago – Thu, Nov 16, 2017 at 03:09:51 PM

We are about to cross the £70,000 funding mark and are well on our way to our first stretch goal. To those of you who are new to Kickstarter, a 'stretch goal' is a target that we set. If we reach the goal, we give all our backers (that is you) something extra. So as a reminder, we have said that if we raise more than £85,000 we will add an extra 10 recipes from your favourite chefs in the cookbook. Please keep sharing our campaign with your friends so we can achieve this new goal and unlock stretch goal #2!

We are also excited to announce two new reward tiers.

The first new reward offers a large professionally printed recipe photo from the cookbook along with your copy of the Great British Chefs cookbook. This beautiful image, selected by you from the book, will look stunning displayed in your kitchen.

The second new reward is an exclusive opportunity to have your OWN recipe included in the Great British Chefs cookbook. This reward is limited to 5 backers so act fast. If you'd like to add this reward to your existing pledge please add the pledge value to your current total.

Finally, here are a few recipe links to enjoy over the weekend:

Upcoming Kickstarter Live with Peter Joseph
over 6 years ago – Wed, Nov 15, 2017 at 01:54:30 PM

Join us for a conversation with Michelin-starred chef Peter Joseph this Thursday 16 November at 12:30pm GMT.

Peter's restaurant Tamarind is one of only nine Michelin-starred Indian eateries in the world. The growing popularity of Indian cuisine in London has led to a higher demand for regional specialties and Peter's tasting menu at Tamarind highlights that Indian food doesn't have to be all curries and kebabs.

'I love spices and I love using different combinations to produce fantastic flavours all within an authentically Indian cooking style.'

We are also excited to announce that Peter will be part of our upcoming cookbook. Let us know your favourite recipes from Peter in the comments section and tune in to watch him give us a behind-the-scenes look at his restaurant Tamarind Kitchen while he prepares pan-fried tiger prawns with a fennel, sesame and pimento salad and answers your questions.

Please subscribe here to receive updates and a reminder for the Kickstarter Live broadcast.

You can find out more about Peter Joseph here and we've included links to a few of his recipes below to whet your appetites:

Let’s get to work!
over 6 years ago – Wed, Nov 15, 2017 at 01:46:48 PM

Thank you to the over 1,700 backers who helped us reach our initial funding goal. The first ever Great British Chefs Cookbook is now officially going to be printed and we are very excited.

But let's not stop there.

Surpassing our initial funding goal allows us to make the cookbook but raising more money will allow us to make it even bigger and better. The recipe count will increase, the paper quality improved and other design touches added. Our backers are integral to not only helping choose content for the book but also be part of the entire development process. With that aim in mind we are excited to announce our first stretch goal.

Stretch goal #1: £85,000

If we reach £85,000 we will increase the number of recipes in the cookbook from 100 to 110, allowing us to incorporate even more of your favourite chefs and dishes in the cookbook.

So please continue sharing our project with your friends. We need your help to reach our new stretch goal!

In the meantime, here are some more recipe suggestions we've received from backers:
