over 6 years ago – Wed, Dec 13, 2017 at 09:42:54 PM

In the next few days you will be receiving a backer survey invitation email with the subject: "Response Needed -- Get your reward for The Great British Chefs Cookbook"

The email contains a personalised link to the Kickstarter fulfilment survey where you can confirm your reward choices, enter shipping or name in book details where applicable and any other information we need. We've partnered with BackerKit for the survey, which is a service that helps us collect and organise all our backer information.

To complete the survey simply click on the link in the email and follow the on-screen prompts from there. We ask that you complete the survey before 31 December 2017. If you ordered an apron we have them ready to ship as soon as you've completed your survey.

Should your shipping address change between now and July 2018 you will have the opportunity to update it. We will notify you when we are ready to ship your order so you can make any necessary changes.

Also, as a thank you to all of you who've provided us with such great input on what recipes and chefs you'd like to see in the cookbook we can now share a sneak peek of the cookbook outline in development:

Great British Chefs Cookbook chapter summary:

1. Masters

2. Flavours of Europe

3. Flavours of the World

We are now developing the content for the cookbook based on your suggestions and look forward to sharing some of the recipes with you in a future update.

Cheers,

1 day to go!
over 6 years ago – Sat, Dec 02, 2017 at 04:06:54 PM

Our Kickstarter campaign ends tomorrow night and we are so close to reaching our second stretch goal. If we reach £100,000 we'll be able to improve the cookbook in several ways including better paper quality and a more durable cover. Please keep spreading the word to fellow foodie friends!

If you've started Christmas shopping we have a fantastic festive cookbook package including a cook-a-long with one of Britain’s greatest chefs, deals on multiple books and the exclusive opportunity to have your recipe included in the actual cookbook! These offers won't be available for long, so check them out here while you still can.

Finally, a huge thanks to all of you who've supported our cookbook. We're really excited about the journey ahead and hope you'll enjoy helping to select what's inside.

Cheers,

Great British Chefs

Kickstarter Live with Graham Hornigold today at 5:00pm GMT
over 6 years ago – Tue, Nov 28, 2017 at 12:20:21 PM

Please tune in today at 5:00pm GMT when we visit award-winning pastry chef Graham Hornigold as he prepares for the first Great British Chefs Academy masterclass. Subscribe here to submit your questions for Graham and to schedule a reminder for the live broadcast, so you don't miss out.

Graham Hornigold is arguably one of the most inventive and creative pastry chefs in the UK if not the world. Having recently moved on from his position as the international pastry chef for the Hakkasan group, he took cakes to the next level, creating dessert menus across the group most notably at Michelin star Hakkasan London and HKK in addition to the patisserie window and shop at Yauatcha Soho and Broadgate circle.

The Great British Chefs Academy is a new subscription offering we're launching. Beginning in December, keen home cooks of all skill levels will receive exclusive masterclasses from some of Britain's top chefs along with step-by-step guides and recipe ideas. Learn more about the Great British Chefs Academy here.

The Great British Chefs Cookbook pledges are going really well and we are also excited to announce that we reached our first stretch goal! This means the cookbook will now contain 110 recipes allowing us to include even more of your favourite dishes and chefs.

Our Kickstarter campaign ends this weekend so time is running out to order your copy of our cookbook. Remember, it will not be available in shops so don't miss out!

As a thank you, here are a few of Graham's popular recipes on the Great British Chefs website:

Whoops!
over 6 years ago – Tue, Nov 28, 2017 at 02:23:14 AM

We apologise for the technical issues during our Kickstarter Live today. Live broadcast is always an adventure and we learned a few lessons, including the importance of ethernet cables!

Thank you to everyone who tuned in (or tried to) for our conversation with Peter Joseph. A special thanks goes to Peter and the team at Tamarind Kitchen who invited us into their kitchen for a behind-the-scenes look.

Here's a clip of Peter plating the delicious dish he cooked for us:

Rest assured that future Kickstarter Live broadcasts as well as our upcoming Drip masterclasses will be of the quality you've come to expect from Great British Chefs.

To make up for our technical difficulties we'll leave you with this video showcasing Pascal Aussignac giving the Great British Chefs audience a behind-the-scenes look at his creative process and the kitchen at Club Gascon.

 Cheers,

Great British Chefs

Product we love

We came across this project on Kickstarter and were intrigued by their use of NASA-inspired technology to create an extra-sharp knife blade that stays sharp 5 times longer than other knives. The project is led by self-confessed foodie and amateur chef Adam Ackerman. You can learn more about Adam's project here.

Check us out on Drip

Yesterday Kickstarter launched a new subscription platform called Drip which enables artists and creators to receive recurring financial support from fans, friends, and new audiences. Where Kickstarter enables one-time project funding, Drip was designed for creators to build a community around their ongoing projects. We are delighted to have been chosen by Kickstarter as one of the first creators on the platform.

Beginning in December we are launching Great British Chefs Academy where each month keen home cooks of all skill levels will receive masterclasses from some of Britain's top chefs along with step-by-step guides and recipe ideas. Learn more about our Drip subscription here.

Cheers,

Great British Chefs
